Sniper

Arm a buy for the moment a token's pool opens.

A snipe is a buy you arm ahead of time. Rex fires it when the token's pool opens. Open Sniper on the web or send /snipe in the bot, then paste the token and the amount in dollars.

What Rex checks, and when

A snipe checks the token when it fires, not when you arm it, because a token with no pool cannot be tested yet. When the pool opens, Rex checks the contract, the tax and whether the token can be sold back, using honeypot checks, contract checks and the launchpad's own data. Rex skips the buy and spends nothing if there is no way to sell back, if the sell tax is 50 percent or more, if buying and selling back would return less than 20 percent, if the checks cannot run, or if you blocked the token's dev. You are told when a snipe is skipped.

Cost and money

  • A snipe buys from your Rex wallet on that chain, so keep the chain's coin there for the network fee. On NEAR keep about 0.25 NEAR free. A NEAR fee launch snipe, where you pick a fee level and an amount in NEAR, needs about 0.3 NEAR.
  • If the launch fee never falls to your level, or your wallet is short, nothing is spent.
  • A snipe can be $1 to $1,000. You can have 10 armed at once, one per token. You can ask Rex to wait until the pool holds a minimum amount of liquidity. A snipe is cancelled after 7 days if the token never opens a pool.
  • Sniping works on NEAR, Solana, Sui, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, Robinhood and Arc. It is not available on HyperEVM or Fogo, and only on chains open to your account.

New tokens are the riskiest thing you can buy. Many are scams, and a snipe can lose all of its amount in seconds.
