Trading tokens is risky. This page lists what Rex cannot remove.
Bad trades inside the rules
Rex checks that a trade fits your balance and limits, not that it is a good idea. You can lose all of what you put in a token.
Tokens and venues
A token's own contract decides whether transfers work. It can block sells, take a hidden tax or mint more supply. The token page shows what Rex knows, and it cannot vouch for a token. Venues are other people's contracts, and a fault in one can lose what is in a swap at that moment.
Routes in several steps
A swap Rex sends as one transaction either completes or returns your funds. A move that has to cross chains in separate steps can stop halfway. For example, a cross chain buy that is refused leaves you holding the chain coin, and the two step bridge route can stop at your Base wallet. The coin stays in your wallet, and its price can move before you sell.
Orders
An order can fill late, at a worse price within your slippage, or not at all. Orders are watched by Rex, so if Rex is down or cannot read a price, an order does not run and the price can pass your level with no fill.
Custody and your account
Rex signs your trades. Someone with your Telegram session can trade, and with your PIN can withdraw. Use two step verification on Telegram, and consider a trusted contact who gets a copy of your security alerts. Rex's servers hold the access that can sign for your wallets, so you are trusting Rex's code and operators.
Bridges
A bridge moves money through other people's systems. If it cannot finish, the money returns to your refund address, less network costs. A send to a wrong address cannot be called back.
Withdrawals
A withdrawal to the wrong address is gone. Rex shows the full address and checks its shape, but it cannot know that the address is yours. A bridge to an address that is not yours is held to your saved address limit too, if you turned it on.
Outages
If Rex is down, keys you already exported still work in another wallet. Export needs Rex running, so do it before you need it. Orders do not run while Rex is down.
No advice
Nothing in Rex or these docs is financial advice.
